Reflecting on the journey, I can’t help but think back to 2006 when I first asked my team to develop what became the cornerstone of our Blendhub #toolbox—the Portable Powder Blending and Packing unit. At that time, I had no idea that this innovation would lay the foundation for what we have today: the world’s first global network of multi-localized food production hubs.

Fast forward to today, and it’s inspiring to see how far we’ve come, especially in collaboration with Siemens Digital Industries Software and the many other advanced tools they provide. Together, we are not just merging the real and digital worlds; we are creating a platform that will empower millions of young people, entrepreneurs, and SMEs in the global food industry. With access to the same cutting-edge tools that major global brands use, these new players will have the opportunity to succeed on a level playing field.

A new era of local, collaborative food production

The future of food is evolving, and it’s clear that it will be both local and collaborative. We envision a world where various companies operate under value-sharing business models, all working transparently under one roof. This is the future we’re building—a future where technology, collaboration, and shared values drive the food industry forward.

I want to extend my thanks to everyone who contributed to making the Realize Europe event such a success. A special thank you goes to Siemens for their unwavering support as our technology partner, and for helping turn Blendhub’s vision into a reality.
