Making Food Available to Anybody

Henrik Stamm Kristensen

Very proud of my team at Blendhub! After Murcia Food Bank’s visit to our company, we all initiated a very successful food collection, bringing together over 300 kilograms of food products- four big boxes!

Inequality and poverty has increased significantly in Spain after the economic crisis- a situation that requires the constant effort and commitment of local non-profit organizations, such as the Murcia Food Bank, which asked companies like Blendhub to help collect about 500 tons of food and to assist 90,000 families at risk of social exclusion.

The organization estimated at our headquarters that 1.7 million people are living in extreme poverty in Spain. For a business like ours being part of such an action is fundamental since we are a company with the main purpose of contributing to make it possible a more just and safer access to food for more people in more places.

Because of this, Blendhub is initiating a change in the agri-food value chain to make food powder blends available anywhere, to anybody. Great challenges take time, although the urgency is maximal when one out of six people has no access to food.

Thank you Murcia Food Bank for your wonderful work.
